On June 12th when we sat down to dinner I heard the wail of the fire engine. There was another event involving police in our street famous for car crashes. This time they were diverting the traffic to the east and had the road completely closed. I am not sure exactly why? I couldn't see any mangled vehicles. Just a big dump truck, some guys with hoses, and some with brooms. They squirted the road down, gave it a good sweep and then opened it up again. Maybe there was a toxic spill?

Wow that first picture is really nice - how did you get up so high? Hopefully it wasn't a toxic spill! Maybe they were just cleaning the street, but that seems an odd way to do it!
