I am not a football fan. I use to go to the games with my father when I was a little girl. The football games I went to were held outside in the winter. I huddled under a blanket shivering to get warm as the minutes stretched forever into the dark, crisp winter evening. I wished I could close my eyes and fall asleep. I imagined I would freeze to death on the bleachers and everyone would mourn my passing, but the game always ended and I roused my frozen body and went home to my warm bed.
Then I moved to Indianapolis, home of THE COLTS. I entered the blue zone! Then I learned that my father and my brothers adore the team.
They played in a dome called the RCA dome. Now they are building a brand new Lucas Oil Stadium. I have taken some pictures to share with my fanatic family of the building of the new stadium. First they dug a ginormous hole, added a lot of cranes, some cement, bricks, windows....
The new Lucas Oil Stadium is set to open in August of 2008. If I attend a Colts game in the new stadium, I won't have to huddle under a blanket, turning "The Blue Zone" into a whole new meaning for me.

Another little trip.....
Lately, I have done my fair share of travel. After my trip to Spokane I drove with my family to Lexington, KY.
They have the yummiest chocolate shop, which I found on a rainy Saturday afternoon. I found them making chocolate eggs for Easter and could not pass them up. Their chocolate is smooth, creamy, and delectable.
Then my parents (seven) drove East for Spring Break and my sister and I gathered our children into one vehicle, (eight) and met them in Illinois. We had such fun seeing our family. We stayed together (15) in a cabin!
Hugs to all!

I took a little trip.....
First I boarded a plane, it was on Frontier airlines. I have good things to say about this airline. I give it high recommendations. They got us to our destination safely and even gave us a bag of pretzels on the way. Don't laugh, some airlines make you pay for a snack. I flew into Denver, CO and then onto Spokane, WA.
I waited for a ferry to cross the river. I think about 12 cars/trucks can fit on the ferry at one time. Except, the locals told me, when the tanker comes to deliver gasoline. It is the only vehicle allowed.
Then I knew I was remote when I saw the deer! I love the look of it's rubbery nose.
Such good camouflage.

Here's what they are buying....
A long time ago...
I wondered what people were buying at the little convenient store behind my house. I got a comment from a reader that I should go in and see. So I kept a running tally of my purchases; toothpicks, evaporated milk (expired by 2 months), gallon of vitamin D milk, eggs, batteries, 2 liter bottles of soda, gummy worms, pretzels, and fountain drinks. They also offer candy bars, coffee, lottery tickets, cigarettes, bacon, ice cream, beer, chips, and other paraphernalia. It is very handy when you are missing an ingredient while fixing dinner, that is, if they have what you need.

Refrigerator Raider
Overlooked Subject Three: Refrigerator Raider
Here is my little fridge. On top I keep my crockpot, tea kettle, and bag of walnuts that my father-in-law gave me. No fridge is complete without family pictures plastered to it, and of course, the art made with love.
The magnets are a life saver. They keep little hands busy while I chop, dice, and grate. They are so cute too. The dolls were purchased at the Indianapolis Museum of Art gift shop. I love the way they look.
